A survey released Wednesday (3/12/97) by Nielsen Media Research and CommerceNet at the Spring Internet World Trade Show found that as of January, 73% of the WEB users searched on line for information about a specific product or service. Of those 53% searched to help make a purchasing decision. .. 15 % of WEB users, about 5.6 million people have bought a product or service on line. WEB use is 17% of population.
